Track Resurfacing in Progress!

The fundraising phase for the new track surface is complete. Construction began Wednesday, June 17, 2009. The projected length of construction will be approximately six weeks. The field will be closed during this time.
Renovation will include the removal of the existing top rubber coat of track to be replaced with a Poly5000 surface that will be red in color. In addition, we will complete the field event areas including the discus ring, long jump runway, pole vault runway, and a large area on the south side of the track for the high jump.
Cleveland will host its first track meet on the new surface Spring 2010, its first "home" meet in three years.
Thank you to the contributions of the alumni, staff, parents, students, business partners and community. The dedication ceremony for the new track will take place at the opening of the Homecoming Football Game scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2009.
Our last phase of the Community Field Project will include landscaping, upgraded concessions area, and additional seating.
